Celebrate the Holidays in Freeport

Here is a nice way to usher in the holiday season: Plan to head over to Freeport for its 15th annual Sparkle Weekend! Traditionally held the first weekend in December, Sparkle includes an electric light parade, Christmas lighting contests, a talking Christmas tree, sales in assorted retail outlets, a holiday open house with historic Freeport bed and breakfasts, a tuba Christmas concert and much more. Sparkle Weekend has been held in Freeport since 1994, and features events and activities throughout the village. Santa will make an appearance, too! It sounds like a lot of fun (and possibly savings?) for the entire family.
